This walk has it all from mountain summits, lakes & the tallest waterfall!
With every step on this walk, you are rewarded with a landscape quieter than Snowdonia, with stunning views & magnificent natural vista stops. Here are some beauty spots we recommend taking a moment to notice along the way.
Vista spots include the famous Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall, which is often referred to as one of the seven wonders of Wales due to its dramatic falls and secluded location. Above the waterfall, the river has small pools and bathing spots.
Walk through the valley & meet the track known as the 'Old Drover's Road', which is the old road to Bala to reach the tranquil Llyn Luncaws. The lake is surrounded on three sides by the steep slopes of Moel Sych, forming a natural amphitheatre.
From here continue to Cadair Berwyn. A dramatic, rocky point with tremendous views.
Which ever direction you look, the sense of freedom is refreshing. From the trig point you have endless views down into the stunning Maengwynedd Valley and beyond to Mid Wales. Venture back via Moel Sych.
If your boots are made for walking a little further, you may choose to extend your walk by bagging the carin at Cadair Bronwen.
Then celebrate a great route! We're only 15 mins away!
You can celebrate your completed route at Wild Valley Huts.
