You don't have to go for a meal; you'll be welcome to drop in for a coffee or tea or a pint of foaming ale.

Cain Valley Hotel, Llanfyllin

For a cosy quiet drink, pop into their Lounge Bar and relax in comfort amongst the original exposed beams. Whether you fancy a snack or a full meal, featuring traditional pub fayre or home cooked recipes, as well as the tried and tested pub favourites, their menu has something for everyone's taste.

Our favourite:

Steak & Ale Pie

Cain Valley Hotel The Hand Inn The Wynnstay Inn

The Hand Inn, Llanarmon

The Hand Inn has all the classic ingredients – old beams, roaring fireplaces & real ale.  The menu changes constantly, although certain "old favourites" - freshly battered fish and chips or Welsh lamb rump - don't go away.

Our favourite:

Braised beef pie

The Wynnstay Inn, Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant

Enjoy real ales in the bar by the fire or fine food in the restaurant or conservatory overlooking the garden. Serving a delicious carvery on sundays, this is a popular sunday haven with locals.

Our favourite:

The sunday carvery & Jam Roly Poly pudding everytime!
