We're excited to announce the opening of our Red Kite Hut! After a full refurbishment, including the installation of a wood burning stove, it is a cosy retreat for the autumn months. For further images of the hut to capture the feel of an autumn break away, you can access our instagram page @wildvalleyhuts or our website

  • Elevated position overlooking the stream and woodland, with lovely walks, perfect for the dog too

  • Detached, romantic retreat in an idyllic location with beautiful countryside views, and a perfect place for star gazing

  • Enjoy contemporary twists and home comforts with a log burner for cosy nights in

The highly rated hut is compact and bijou, but has everything you could need for two people. The hut is individually hand crafted and bespoke built. Whilst boasting traditional features such as a curved roof, internal and external wood finish as well as spindle wheels, it has been designed with comfort and style in mind. The Shepherd Hut offers you open-plan living, with an extremely cosy double size bed at one end for the comfiest nights sleep and an ensuite bathroom, complete with a high quality rain shower, sink and toilet at the other. For added comfort the hut also has heating to keep away the evening chills.

Outside you’ll find your own wooden terrace with lighting, a fire pit /BBQ and outdoor seating. A picnic bench is also available for alfresco dining. The views from the decking are stunning and you can experience no noise, no stress, just peace & quiet.

Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall on a summer evening

Newly discovered territory and some of our favourite places close to Wild Valley Huts: Since Graeme and I arrived at Wild Valley Huts we keep discovering the beauty that Llanrhaeadr and the surrounding area has to offer. One of our summer discoveries has been the delights of the Mawddach Estuary.

Mawddach Estuary - This is a stunning location, known for its fantastic views of the mountain ranges - Snowdonia on one side and Cadar Idris on the other. The scenery is really pictuesque. (Photo above). There is a fantastic 9km cycling / walking trail starting at Dolgellau to the coastal town of Barmouth - literally, where the mountains meet the sea. During our timie there, we visited Bwlchgwyn farm for a pony trek along the Estuary and onto the beach at Fairbourne. It was an amazing experience and would definitely recommend it if you enjoy horse riding.

If you would like to share any of your visits while you have stayed at Wild Valley Huts, please let us know: Instagram - @wildvalleyhuts Check out our availability on our website for available dates if you fancy a mid week or weekend away of ‘no noise, no stress, just peace & quiet.’ We can be the base for your adventures. Best wishes and keep adventuring! Heather & Graeme
